I hope everyone is availing of the fine weather to get out running as often as you can. You will have a great opportunity to get back on the grass over the next few weeks with the TCD track races and the OPW trail race. |

Next Race: 30th TRINITY TRACK MEETING
Wednesday 13th June 2018
|
To mark the 30th BHAA Trinity Track Meeting, the two distances chosen are 800 m and 1 mile. Ronnie Delany set three Irish 880 yds records in College Park (twice in 1954, once in 1955) and his first Irish 1-mile record (in his first ever mile race) in College Park (4:05.8 in August 1955). |
The late Sir Roger Bannister also ran the half-mile in College Park in 1949 and the mile in 1951 (4:17.0). To mark the 30th meeting, it seems appropriate that BHAA athletes should “run with the greats” in a venue both graced. |

BHAA use a barcode system for race results. When a runner crosses the finishing line the barcode is removed from the bottom of the race number and used to place the runner. It’s very important that runners do not pin the lower part of the race number to themselves. The race number is perforated above the barcode and rips off easily, Make sure not to pull this before the finish line. Also be sure your pins are above the perforated line. |
