With the Business House Athletics Association, Dublin City Council Runners Club will promote a 4 mile combined race on Sunday 11 December, 2021 in the beautiful St Anne’s park. The race will start at 11 00 a.m and finish on the tree-lined central avenue at the Sybil Hill/Vernon Avenue side of the park.

It is a two lap race on paths within the park. The course is mostly flat so it could be an opportunity for a personal best. The course in the former residence of the Guinness family of stout fame makes it an attractive and scenic course.

The race should attract a large contingent from the Lord Mayor’s 5 alive series. ArdMheara/Lord Mayor Nial Ring will start the race. Uniquely he will also run the race and present the prizes.

  • There will be a quiz afterwards with prizes of DCC concessions to amenities and parking.
  • Registration and refreshments in St Paul’s College, Sybil Hill.
  • Registration is from 9 30 a.m in the Gym Hall, St Paul’s College, and post race refreshments also served there.
  • There will be showers afterwards.
  • Car-parking, Buses, and DART

There are car-parks ; at the Red Stables, Mount Prospect Avenue, Tennis Pavilion, All Saints Rd, and behind the college ( though the latter likely to fill up early). There is on street parking on Sybil Hill/Vernon Avenue.

Buses 29A, 31, 31A and 32 have stops on Howth Rd about a five minute walk from the venue.

There are regular DART trains to Killester station about a 15 minute walk to the venue.
