BHAA Teachers Cross Country 2013

BHAA Teachers Cross Country 2013

Cross country running is back: We’re back to Castleknock College this Saturday morning with the Teachers Cross Country event of the BHAA Winter League. The race format is a combined start with ladies running 2 1mile laps while the men will take on two extra laps to bring the distance to 4 miles. Last year Mick Clohisey and Loraine Manning took the race wins. The races start at 11am and registration will be open from 9.30. Online registration will be open until 5pm Friday evening. For those wondering about taking out BHAA membership for 15e this will cover you until December 2014. There is plenty of parking within the college and the entrance is via Capenterstown Road. If your not running why not come along and help with stewarding on the day or perhaps bring a camera and take photos for the BHAA website.

With the start of the Winter League we are asking all company and sector team contacts to double check the members on your teams. For sector teams you should aim to have 6 active runners. We can only make changes to teams during the week and NOT on the race day – you have been warned. The standard league prizes will be able to the top ten in each of the 8 divisions and the best 9 of 11 results will be counted.

We’d like to thank all the BHAA stewards who help with the races in the recent Dublin Race Series.

See you all on Saturday,
Regards,
BHAA

Well done all runners and organisers today – great event. If anyone finds a pair of black Ray-Ban sunglasses – lost today somewhere around Castleknock College – please email me at pearsecoyle@gmail.com

Also a couple of items of clothing were left behind after the Teachers XC race on Saturday under the trees at the start line. Specifically, a pair of blue Adidas spikes size 9.5 and a green Rathfarnham 5K t-shirt.Please contact me on james.cottle@airbus.com to arrange to pick them up. Otherwise I’ll try to be at the next event.
