ABOUT US
The Business Houses Athletic Association (BHAA) was founded in 1979, and was originally set up as a work place athletic organisation to facilitate work colleagues to run together in a series of races. However you don’t have to be in working, or in a company to run in a BHAA race, everyone over the age of 18 is welcome! The structure of the BHAA is an entirely voluntary one with running groups from various companies coming together to put on running events for each other.

Cabra a special and unique suburb of sport – new book by BHAA member

The book of words and pictures records Cabra’s sport excellence and participation in athletics, basketball, boxing, crossbow, cycling, Gaelic games, judo, power weight lifting, rowing, and soccer. Of particular interest to runners is that the athletics chapter includes accounts of Harry Gorman, Jim McNamara, Gwen Stanley and 50K national road champion Wayne Waldron and others.
Whether you are a Cabra sports person, know someone who is, or interested in Dublin’s rich sport history, this book can a welcome addition. What was known and talked about locally is now recorded for Cabra people and for a wider Dublin and Ireland sports audience and for posterity.
