Grant Thornton Firhouse 10KM

The BHAA are pleased to confirm that Grant Thornton will take over the running of the established 10km road road race in Firhouse, Dublin 24 at 11am on Saturday 11th September 2010. Registration and race HQ is the Firhouse Community Centre, with registration for all runners open from 9.30am. This is the first BHAA event that will use chip timing on the day. Registration for non-bhaa day members can be done online with payment of 15 euro taken on the morning of the race. Race entry is 10 euro for BHAA members. This event will be held under BHAA rules and with the full support of Rathfarnham Gardai.

The BHAA are one of the joint race organisers of the Adidas Race Series in the Phoenix Park with the half marathon being included in our league. One aspect of our involvement is that the BHAA provide stewards on each race day to ensure the safety of runners in each event. The normally involves arriving about an hour before the event start and usually involves about two/three hours of your time. We need 25 stewards to help out with the stewarding, goody bags etc at the half marathon on Saturday, 18 September so if you are interested please email volunteers@bhaa.ie and we'll be in contact with you.

If you are entering the series remember to enter your 4 digit BHAA membership number on the entry form.

BHAA Golf Outing to K-Club (Smurfit Course)

BHAA is inviting all BHAA members interested in golf to participate in the inaugural BHAA golf outing to the K-Club on Sunday 3rd October 2010 @ 10.30am.

Gerry Byrne from the K-Club has designed a very attractive package that includes a round of golf plus a 3 course meal afterwards.
The event is designed to suit all standards of golfing prowess, beginners or seasoned!
The format will be a team event but don’t worry if you cannot field a team or even if you are a lone golfer. You will be accommodated on a team on the day.
Teams will consist of three members and the teams can be a mixture of male and female.
The game will be a scramble and the rules will be explained before you play.

Cost for golf and meal €70.
