North County Farmers 2014 Preview
The North Country Farmers classic cross country race returns to Swords on Saturday February 1st. We’re delighted to have this race back after the 2013 run was cancelled due to water-logging in the park.
This combined start race is 2.5 miles for the ladies and 5 miles for the men. The race starts in Balheary Park, Swords at 11:30am. Registration is in Finallians GAA club across the road and is open from 9:30am. Entry to the park from the club is via the footbridge only, as the duel carriageway is quite busy.
If driving it is recommended to take the M1 Motorway using the Exit 4 – Lissenhall interchange. Parking is strictly as directed by Gardaí on location on the day and will be provided in the hard shoulders of the approach road and beyond the club gate. Please DO NOT PARK IN THE CLUB CARPARK.
This race promises to be lots of fun with our favourite agricultural hurdles, a few special guests, and bottles of Lucozade Sport at the finish. Please make sure you take your empty bottles and any other rubbish with you when leaving the park. Changing facilities, tea, and snacks will be provided in the clubhouse.
You can register online for this race here: https://bhaa.ie/events/north-country-farmers-2014/. Online registration is open to everyone, but we particularly request that day members register online.
