Just to let you know that we'll be updating the results website this weekend. There will be a demo after the Bank Of Ireland race this weekend. Basically its a complete re-write of the old system and has a number of new features.

1: Runner Search - type the first three letters of an active members surname and you'll get a list of matching names, select a member from the list and to see their race results.

2: Race results - The individual results for all races, and the team results are available for some races.

3: RacePixs365 - On the members results page, we have a direct link enabled to RacePixs365 with the bib number used by the runner for each event. It should cut out the hassel of "search by bib number". A big thanks to Darren Spring for his help with this.

3: Leagues - The winter and summer league tables will be available online. Thanks to Brendan McLoughlin for his SQL work here.

4: Standards - We have a table of standard times for various distances that a member can use to predict their standard. (It should be easy to add a standard calculator to this page).

5: Teams/Sectors - We have a list of the sectors and the companies/teams registered within each sector. Each company has a individual page, with options to display the company logo, website and contact person for that company/team.

6: Membership Form - We have a simple membership form that should help to register new members, the user gets an email to print,sign and bring to the next race. Payment can be made online via paypal. (Next step is a day-members pre-registration form).

These are the main new features, and any feedback will be appreciated. Support will be available via email and on this forum.

Paul et al, well done on the new site it look's great. Is it a new Site with new Address or do you go in via a link on the old site ?. I appreciate that when migrating Data there's a bit of testing etc and I'm sure you'd want to be comfortable that you've brought everything you want to bring across befoire going live. Well done again

Well impressed with the fantastic new results service. Thanks to all concerned.

We'll be doing a winter clean up of the website tomorrow, basically merging the features of 'members.bhaa.ie' into 'bhaa.ie', so that you only have to remember one URL in 2010. The layout, forum and menu will be getting a revamp as well. Shout now if you've any suggestions or ideas, and they'll be considered.

Apologies for taking so long to respond to your offer to influence this exceptional site. I'd love to see a counter. I know, many see these as something from the prehistoric ages but I still believe they act as a multiplier for visitors. Also, the forum is used mostly for race info/debate, could it be divided into race talk/gear/general forums to stimulate wider discussion as now happens between many members on other sites?

hello all Over the last few days we have rebuilt the main website. Changes will be coming thick and fast over in the next few days. One of the first ones is that due to extra spamming and the now the ability to post attachment on the forums we must block anonymous posts from now on.
